Election season can bring intense emotions, no matter the outcome. Yoga offers us a sanctuary - a way to find balance amid uncertainty. Run through your emotions, this is not the time for ignoring, express your self in a healthy way. You can start this by grounding yourself with a few deep breaths, reconnecting to the present moment. Simple practices, like gentle stretching or a short meditation, can help process any tension or worry. Remember, in moments of transition, our breath is an anchor. Allow yourself space to feel, breathe, and let go. In community and in practice, we find our way forward—together.

Here are three ways to use yoga to navigate post-election stress this week:
1. Start Each Day with Grounding Breathwork: Begin with a few minutes of deep, intentional breathing. Try a simple practice like box breathing—inhaling for four counts, holding for four, exhaling for four, and pausing for four. This will help calm your nervous system and set a balanced tone for your day.
2. Practice Restorative Poses in the Evening: Release the day’s tension with poses like Child’s Pose, Legs-Up-the-Wall, or laying flat in Corpse Pose. These poses support relaxation, helping to ease stress and invite a sense of peace before bed.
3. Take Time for Gratitude Meditation: Spend a few moments in meditation focusing on gratitude. Reflect on things you’re grateful for, no matter how small. This practice can help shift your mindset, creating a sense of grounding and perspective during uncertain times.
Using these tools throughout the week can help you stay connected to yourself and approach each day with greater calm and resilience.
Be good to yourself. Stay Juicy.
